Tyson O'Brian Bennett, age 69, passed away Saturday August 3, 2024. He was born November 8, 1954 on the beautiful island of Barbados, to Sheila Bennett Rivera and Cleave Burrows. He came to the US in 1979 for more opportunities and education. He and his family resided in Manchester, CT.
He studied and received his associates degree at Manchester Community College and began a career in Human services. He became a Certified Drug and Alcohol abuse counselor and worked for Community Partners in Action. He was also a member of the Barbados American Society of Hartford. Tyson loved to talk and be around his family and friends. He also loved to travel, a few places he visited frequently was Barbados, Canada, and New York to visit family members.
He was preceded in death by his mother Sheila, father Cleave, and his son Patrick. He is survived by, his daughter Reanna, and son Tyler, ex-wife Hazel, brothers Lenville, Ronald and Wayne, sisters Linda, Sonja and Valerie, grandchildren Laron, Valentine, Akil, Alani and Amir, his nieces and nephews Hal, Adrian,Katrina, Kai, Uhuru and Kayla, Jeshaun, Jamay, Aeron, Ashlan, cousins, and many more special friends and family members.
A life celebration and memorial will be held Friday, August 23, 2024 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Affordable Tributes, 142 East Center St, Manchester, CT, all friends and family are invited to pay their respects. To leave on-line condolences for the family, please visit
