James Gary Concatelli

July 20, 1965 — July 11, 2024

James Gary Concatelli, 58, of Vernon, Connecticut peacefully passed away surrounded by family and loved ones on July 11, 2024. A year after being diagnosed with cancer, his Spirit left his paining body to be with his parents.
James was born on July 20th 1965 in Hartford, Connecticut the youngest of four children to Leo Rego Concatelli and Frances Audrey Concatelli. Growing up in Hartford he had a tight-knit group of very close friends and attended Hartford High school.His first job was working with his father at Coronas Auto parts.
He started learning his contracting skills being a maintenance superintendent. After meeting Jamie Main, the mother of his children and having a family he proudly joined the Carpenters Union. Ultimately he chose to work for himself as a general contractor. He was exceptionally talented and proud of his work. When not working he carried on some of his father's traditions. He loved working on his vegetable garden every year and the Italian dinner's that he would cook on Sundays. He loved large family gatherings and especially grilling for them. Every holiday or chance to get the family together made him very happy. He loved his family so very much.
James is survived by his four children Dylan Johnston, James Main, Carissa Concatelli and Mia Concatelli. He was known as Papa Jim to his 8 grandchildren; Gabriella, Max, Alessandra, Adriana, Julianna, Mila, Viviana and Adrian. His siblings, Frank Concatelli and wife Ann, Silvia Evans, Daniel Concatelli, and brother in best friend Joseph Rosa will miss him dearly also.
A life celebration and memorial will be held Friday August 9th from 4:00 to 6:00 at Affordable Tributes Funeral Home, 142 East Center St, Manchester, CT, all friends and family are invited to pay their respects. Flowers and memorial gifts are welcome but not necessary.
