Geraldine A. Branco, 63, of Manchester CT passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Thursday March 24th 2022. Geraldine was born on October 12th 1958 to Gerold and Carole Stanton in Boston Massachusetts. She was the oldest of four children born to Gerold and Carole. Geraldine called herself a Navy Brat because her family moved around while her father served in the Navy. The family ended up settling in North Kingstown Rhode Island where she completed High School.
Geraldine took pride in her work life. She showed longevity, loyalty and an eagerness to keep learning. She was in the Banking Industry for about 19 years. A merger brought Geraldine to Connecticut to settle in Manchester with her daughter. Geraldine attended college at Manchester Community College in Connecticut where she made the Presidents List. After leaving the Banking Industry she ventured into Security where she was a wonderful Dispatch Operator. She mentored many staff members throughout the years and mastered many new technologies.
Geraldine loved to read anything and everything. Horror was her favorite genre. She loved to trade books with her friends. She enjoyed watching movies and reality tv shows that she referred to as smut. Geraldine enjoyed collecting nutcrackers, bird paintings and lady bugs just like her mother Carole.
Geraldine is survived by her daughter Sarah Branco; her son in law Edward Hughes; her three sisters Stephany Laurent, Tina Smith and Ruth Chambers; Her brother in laws Bob Laurent, Bob Smith and Craig Chambers; her nieces and nephews, Marissa, Zachery and Carole Laurent; Jen, Nick and Cassie Smith; Corey, Joshua and Philip Chambers and their sister Bethany Perkins; her Aunt Steffie, Auntie Sue and Aunt Laura; her numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gerold and Carole Stanton; her grandmother and grandfather Bernotas; her grandmother and grandfather Stanton and numerous Aunts and Uncles.
It was Geraldines wish to be cremated and then celebrated at home. We will hold an Open House on Saturday April 9th 2022 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at our home:
